Congress Hall Toratau has become one of the venues for the XIV stage of the Children's Cup of Russia, dedicated to the memory of R. Gumerov.
These days, the strongest young chess players from different regions are fighting at chess boards — boys and girls under 9, 11, 13 years old, boys and girls under 15 years old.
Before the start of the competition, the grand opening ceremony of the tournament was held at Congress Hall Toratau.
The honorary guests of the ceremony were:
Rustam Sharipov — Acting Head of the Ufa administration;
Filius Ishbulatov — deputy of the Ufa City Council, Chairman of the Chess Federation of the Republic of Bashkortostan;
Rufina Shagapova — deputy of the State Assembly — Kurultai of the Republic of Bashkortostan;
Joseph Marach — deputy of the Ufa City District Council;
Olesya Markelova — head of the Olympic sports sector of the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
The guests welcomed the participants and wished them bright victories, inspiration, and a fair fight.
