“Retail Days in Ufa” forum is held from August 2 to 3 in preparation to the annual International forum of Business and Government “Retail Week”. The situation in the retail market and contemporary trends in the retail sector are on the agenda.
The Head of Bashkortostan congratulated the participants of the meeting on the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Ministry of Trade and Services of Bashkortostan, and stressed the importance of the branch for the economy and social sphere of the region.
“Trade is one of the key sectors of the economy of our region, where more than 300 thousand people are employed. 27 thousand trade establishments in Bashkortostan is a very decent indicator,” said the Head of Bashkortostan. “In many indicators of trade industry development, our region holds leading positions in the country.” Retail turnover is growing every year. In the first half of 2024, it increased by 11.4 percent. According to this indicator, our republic ranks second in the Volga Federal District, and eighth place in the country.
Among the achievements of the Ministry of Trade and Services, Radiy Khabirov stated successes in expanding cooperation with large e-commerce platforms.
“Projects for the construction of production sites for large marketplaces are actively implemented in Bashkortostan. In 2024, for example, we are planning to open a logistics complex of OZON company in Blagoveshchensk district,” said Radiy Khabirov.
The Head of Bashkortostan also presented state awards to the trade workers of the republic.
Nikita Kuznetsov, Director of the Department for the Development of Domestic Trade of Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, spoke at the plenary session via video conferencing. He highlighted achievements of Bashkortostan in the development of consumer cooperation and roadside service.
The Minister of Trade and Service of the Republic Alexey Gusev in his report paid special attention to the successes in the field of investment policy. The department is accompanied by 240 projects in the sphere of trade, catering, roadside service and warehouse logistics with the total investment of about 50 million rubles.
